Bowes Park Community Choir (BPCC)

Matt 2 Matt

Come and be part of a truly uplifting community experience! Everyone is welcome to join us – young, youngish and not so young. Don’t be shy, there are no auditions, there’s no need to read music, just bring yourself and a bottle of water (it can be thirsty work!).  We have close to 100 members at most of our rehearsals, with our alto and soprano sections full but we are looking for tenors and basses.  The names of potential soprano or alto singers will be added to a waiting list.

We sing a variety of different songs selected from the genres of classical, world and popular music.

See the News page to hear about the participation of choir members in the performances of The Bridge in the opening celebrations of the new building at the Tate Modern

See the Concerts page for the list of the songs we performed in our recent concert.

Our Music Director is Matt Hardy and our accompanist is Laurie O’Brien.

From January 2018 sessions will be held on Thursday evenings; your first session is free. See About Us for further details.

BPCC is a club of the Bowes Park Community Association (BPCA) and are covered by the constitution of the BPCA.

The choir is run by a committee of hardworking volunteers, and other members take on specific roles as needed.  If you enjoy choir and want to see it continue, do have a think about volunteering to help with its running.  Ask any member of the committee about vacant roles and other volunteering opportunities.
